Physis Scotland Altogether Day
An absolute highlight of our Physis Scotland year is our ‘Altogether Day’. It is a fantastic day, when all our students and trainers from the different year groups, come together to explore and celebrate difference, diversity, culture and social responsibility through an intersectional lens.
This year was extra special, as we were in-person again and on the 9th of April, it was extremely exciting to gather in Edinburgh. We know from conversations with students as they arrived, that some were a little unsure or even anxious about how the day would be. However, with an exceptional opening presentation by the esteemed Andy Williams TSTA, there was a sense most people were relaxing into the experience. The group discussions were stimulating, inspiring and thought-provoking and the chatter was loud during the breaks – always a positive sign. We are so grateful to all the students and trainers who joined the day, interacted and contributed to the success for all.
Thank you to Anne Duncan, a Foundation Year Student, who kindly shared her thoughts of the day on this video.
Help Us Plan our CPD Programme to Support You in What You Need
We strive to offer a stimulating, broad range of educational CPD workshops to support your learning, development and growth as practitioners. We are planning our CPD Programme for the next Academic Year and would love to find out what skills gaps we can help you fill.
Please would you take 5 minutes to complete the following anonymous short survey to help guide our planning?
Thank you
We all have a personal story of our experiences of training in counselling & psychotherapy. Alan Rooney, a Foundation Year student, shared his unique account of starting his therapy training in the March blog. A fascinating comparison to a memory of himself, aged just 14 being encouraged to take the joystick of a plane on an ‘experience’ flight over the River Forth.
If you haven’t read it yet, we think you will love Learning to Fly.
We welcome blog ideas/stories from students or trainers. If you would be interested, please get in touch.
