Course Outline

This workshop is an interactive and experiential exploration of narrative, using a practical and theoretical framework.  The workshop will introduce systemic maps as a way to capture and look at the multiple layers of narrative/script: intrapsychic, relational and the cultural/societal context, and will look at refining practice around these topics.

This course is suitable for those with a minimum introductory knowledge of transactional analysis.

Course Aims

The aim of the workshop is to explore and experience the links between the multiple layers of narrative and to clarify what might that mean to your own practice.

Participants will:

  • Become familiar with the theory of systemic maps
  • Begin to link between intrapsychic, interpersonal and systemic process
  • Synthesise theory and develop own ideas of change
  • Explore a range of  definitions of narrative
  • Increase awareness of the role of therapist and develop own ideas
