Ronen will take participants through a deep dive into exploring how our relationship with technology affects how we relate and identify with self and others. We will go through implications at an Intra-psychic, Interpersonal, and Systemic (social & political) level, and how might this inform us as individuals and practitioners.
The workshop will introduce new ideas in Transactional Analysis theory and practice, including material from recent publications in the TAJ, Stilman, R. (2022) Attached to Technology – Exploring Identity and Human Relating in Virtual and Corporeal World. Transactional Analysis Journal, 52(2):93:105 and the International Journal of Psychotherapy, Stilman, R. (2022) Screen Relations in Practice – A Reflection on Rupture and Repair . International Journal of Psychotherapy, 26(1):53-60.
The workshop will be delivered through a mix of theoretical teaching, discussion, small group work, and experiential exercises where you will be encouraged to interact and play with the material.
The aim of the course is to explore your relationship with technology and its wide reach and layered impact to how you identify and relate.

Ronen Stilman is a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer, working with individuals, couples and practitioners in his Edinburgh centre practice and Cyberspace. He has a keen interest in Humans and how they relate and identify, integrating his background in technology and organisational change.
