Our Premises

Physis Scotland is located in central Edinburgh, at 22 Drumsheugh Gardens, at the heart of the elegant West End. Easily accessible by train and bus routes, our location is situated close to many shops, hotels, cafes and restaurants.

It is important to us that our students and trainers feel welcome and comfortable in our warm, inviting, vibrant rooms, as we believe it enhances the learning experience, and helps to create a supportive and collaborative environment. Our rooms have therefore been designed with the utmost thought and care to enable our students to grow, blossom and thrive.

On arrival, the entrance is by the main door at 22 Drumsheugh Gardens

Training and Breakout Rooms

The Ayres Room is our largest room and is decorated with a purple, plush pink and grey theme. It has mixed seating including comfy sofas and individual seats, soft lighting and easy view of the TV screen and flip chart. With two large windows overlooking the front of the building and being up on the 3rd floor, the Ayres Room is an extremely light and spacious room. Accommodating up to 20 people, the Ayres Room is a fabulous space for our training groups.

The Library Room is our smaller training room, and is tastefully decorated with an autumnal theme. It has mixed seating including comfy sofas and armchairs, soft furnishings and soft lighting. The Library Room can accommodate up to 9 people comfortably and is great for smaller classes, group work and breakout space.

The Clarkson Room is decorated with a sunflower yellow, red poppy and burnt orange theme. With mixed seating, soft furnishings and soft lighting, the Clarkson Room is perfect for breakout space on training weekends.

The Widdowson Room is a small intimate room, with superb roof top views over the Edinburgh skyline. It is thoughtfully decorated with a blue and green theme, and has soft furnishings, soft lighting and a desk. With seating for up to 3 people, the Widdowson Room is an ideal breakout space on training weekends, and particularly great for triad work.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh is the historic, exciting capital of Scotland.  Many of our students have enjoyed fabulous weekends in Edinburgh, taking the opportunity to visit the sites, taste delicious food and wander the streets of the Old Town and New Town – all within such easy reach of Drumsheugh Gardens.

Room hire

Our rooms are available for hire – ideal for therapists or small training groups.

Library

We have an extensive library with wide-ranging counselling & psychotherapy academic books, to support student learning throughout your training at Physis Scotland. Our library is accessed in the Library Room.

  • Free Wi-Fi

  • Kitchen area where students and trainers can enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.  You are welcome to pop your packed lunch in the fridge

  • Lovely cafes and restaurants are within 5 minutes walk

  • On-street metered parking is available on the local streets, but parking charges are high

  • The area is served by a good bus network and the nearest tram stop is about a 7-minute walk

  • Haymarket train station is about a 15-minute walk
