Process Group Therapy Marathon

Process Group Therapy Marathon

Please note this Event has been postponed. A new date will be announced.

2-day online CPD workshop

Friday 24th and Saturday 25th November 2023 – 10.00 – 17.00 GMT each day

Facilitator

John Paradise CTA(P) PTSTA(P)

Course Outline

This two-day process group therapy marathon will provide the opportunity to experience yourself in a group therapy setting. The workshop will be experiential and draw upon our co-created experience of being in a group. We will be drawing upon group theory from Berne (Transactional Analysis) and Tuckman & Jensen.  In the group you will have the opportunity to learn experientially how to:

  • Create and maintain a safe group setting and boundary
  • Develop a group imago together
  • Work well together – contracting
  • Set individual and group boundaries
  • Work with the individual in the group and also work with the group as a whole
  • Decontaminate, deconfuse and work with the transferential relationship in groups
  • Use therapeutic language and metaphor
  • Use process contracting
  • Use the group to facilitate change
  • End well together as a group

Do I need to have experienced counselling or therapy before?

It is a requirement of joining the group that you are currently in ongoing personal therapy, however, you do not need to have experienced group therapy before.

This is an opportunity to gain group therapy or accredited advanced TA training hours. You will receive a CPD Certificate upon completion, and dependent upon your regulatory body, you may count twelve hours of group therapy.

Fee

£204 inc VAT (Early Bird Rate until 13th October)

£264 inc VAT (Full Rate)
